Yes – our gaming program is exclusively for NDIS participants. We support participants who are self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed.
If you’re unsure about your funding type or how to get started, feel free to reach out – we’re here to help guide you through the process.
Our events are primarily held in the Melbourne CBD, with popular venues including Fortress Melbourne, local arcades, VR centres, and other accessible community spaces.
All event details — including location, time, cost, and support provided — are shared in advance so participants and support coordinators know exactly what to expect.
The program is delivered in two flexible formats:
1:1 Sessions: Run weekly and are scheduled based on the participant’s individual goals, availability, and support needs. These sessions can include community access, co-op gaming, or mentoring at venues like Fortress or local arcades.
Group Events: Held approximately every 1–2 months on a Saturday, featuring social activities like gaming tournaments, cosplay days, or city adventures. Group size typically ranges from 4–8 participants, with 1:1 or 1:2 support ratios.
Participants can choose to engage in either or both, depending on their NDIS funding and preferences. Session details — including venue, time, and support arrangements — are always confirmed in advance.
For group events, participants are encouraged to use their existing support workers or independent travel arrangements where possible. Due to the larger number of participants, we’re unable to guarantee transport for every attendee — however, we’ll always help coordinate options where needed. In some cases, ARC may be able to offer limited transport based on your location and availability.
For 1:1 sessions, transport can be provided as part of the support depending on where you’re located. Our team will confirm details when booking.
Let us know if you need help planning your travel, we’re happy to assist.
Our social skill-building gaming program includes a mix of fun, engaging, and community-based experiences designed to match your interests and support goals. Activities may include:
Console and PC gaming in state-of-the-art setups (e.g. Fortress Melbourne)
Virtual reality (VR) and arcade venue experiences
Escape rooms, mini-games, and interactive group play
Pop culture events like cosplay, conventions, and expos (e.g. PAX)
Group lunches, creative meetups, and café catch-ups
Peer-led sessions that encourage communication and shared interests
We tailor activities based on what you actually enjoy, ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with your preferences.
The core group is aged 16–35, but we do support individuals outside this range for individual sessions. If you’re interested and fall outside the age group, let us know — we’re happy to explore how we can tailor the program to include you.
It’s simple — just reach out to our team or complete our Expression of Interest form. We’ll walk you through the onboarding process, answer any questions, and discuss how the program can best support you or your participant.
